Seeing as we will never have a fabulously pretty Winter Wonderland in sunny Singapore, I guess we'll just have to make do with the picture. Tomorrow is Christmas! The class chalet would be on the 5th-7th December, if you are unable to make it or do not wish to go, please notify Jesslyn or Shaun and we would tabulate the number of ppl going and calculate how much each person would have to pay for the chalet. And please give your thanks to He Lao Shi as he had helped us to book this chalet. The chalet cost 300 dollars and is 4D3N, for those who are going, please notify the chairs when you are staying at the chalet so it makes it easy for us to implement the COOK-FOR-EVERYONE policy. Further notices til then.

HEY PEOPLE! IF CHALET IS IN DECEMBER, CAN YOU ALL MAKE IT? DO NOT BOTHER BOUT CCAS.

As for the farewell party, it is still on, but time has been changed to 10am at Toa Payoh MRT. Sherry will be calling you on what food to bring, and you can bring your own board games and cards etc. The rest has been taken care of! So just come and enjoy. XD

By the way, the reason why you have to bring your own food is because our class fund is only a miserable 2 digit number, around $60-70 if i remember correctly. We need it for the chalet too!

THEREFORE,

class fund has been increased to $3 per month and after holidays re-open, you have to pay $6 (2 months overdue!!!!!)

WARNING:

If you do not pay up, YOU CANNOT GO TO THE CLASS CHALET. Even if you owe the class fund just 1cent. thankyouverymuch.

Instructions for ACES day

Please form two circles to dance, in the usual arrangment. Reg no.1-18 will form the outer circle and no.19-36 will form the inner circle. For the dance the inner circle will be boys and outer circle will be girls. For O Yishama (grapevine+leftright leftright) the inner circle will move to the right and the outer circle move to the left first.

Update on Class Chalet

Due to teachers with their own reasons that we are deeply sorry for because we have failed to understand, we are left with no choice but to be independent and find our own classmates to help us when we are in need and poor teachers with their circumstances are left with no choice but to leave us to fend for ourselves.

Suyu may be able to help, and she will be asking her parents, so we'll see how things go first.

Update on Farewell Party + Be Yourself Day

The venue has been confirmed and it is still going to be Toa Payoh. Please meet at Toa Payoh MRT station on Monday @ 1pm. As for the program outline, Jaslin and Sherry are still planning it, but the main thing is that we will be eating and playing games.

Also, on that day, the entire class will be learning bridge from the experienced players for Be Yourself Day, so that we can teach the other classes. Meanwhile, program outline comm and publicity comm will have to get cracking. I will discuss with the heads on what to do.

See you people tomorrow! =)

P.S Please remember that you still have to do duty and clear your tables unless you want to run a risk of a scolding and the loss of your personal property, which the school and I are not accountable for. Also, PAY FOR THE CLASS FUND or you don't get to go to the chalet.

For the Learning &Arts Fest, i cant confirm what skill we are going to teach the others.

The teaching session should be abt 15-20 min long. &when we think of the skill to be taught, we have to consider:

1)where can we get the materials
2)is it easy &simple to do it
3)assuming we are the ppl visiting the other classes, will you be interested to go in &learn such skill
4)how are we going to teach the ppl
5)how long will the teaching session be
6)budget (materials&decorations)

etc. these are only some considerations we've to make.

so i think maybe jesslyn&shaun have to conduct another meeting with the class to decide the skill to be taught.

current ideas are:
-tying a tie
-handicrafts (may teach a few different handicrafts. eg. making dolls, keychains)
-sign language
-card tricks

We didn't get in...It's okay I don't really care anymore. If you guys feel disappointed, don't. We went through all that shit, and it feels like we achieved more than anything we ever could. (:

But I know that most of the 'shit' was caused by my indecisiveness...I said we'll do it, then we won't and then we'll do it and last min say don't want again. We did it anyway. Sorry class if there's ever a next time I'll make a firm decision.

If you do not read the notice below, don't say that I didn't warn you.

PLS DO YOUR DUTY!

2A is working towards the cleanest class award this year, so if you do want to clinch the award, do your duty!!

I know that you may not be free during CCA days and sometimes it just slips your mind. I don't blame you. But please, at least tell me or xiang yun or li lin that you are unable to do your duty, can you? If you can tell us that you have CCA and you need to eat because you are already looking like a toothpick, then we don't mind! Just please please please inform us okay?

All duties cannot be postponed to the next day just because you 'don't feel like doing it'. Just because we say that if you are unable to do today, you can do it the next morning doesn't mean that you can always postpone your duties to the next morning!!!!!!!!!!

You have to complete all your duties everyday after school. No excuses!

Duties like dustbin..you don't have to empty during recess or before school because there is no point. People will continue to throw stuff until the end of the school. So just empty it before you go home and line the basket with a new plastic bag. This can't be done the next morning. If you can't do it, then tell us and we'll think of something, okay?

Also, window duty has to be done before you leave the classroom, whether there are alot of people or not. Closing the windows take less than a minute, so it shouldn't be too difficult. ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSES ALLOWED FOR THIS ONE! As for cleaning the windows, in the span of 1week that your name is up in the duty roster, you only need to wipe it either with a cloth or tissue once. This is optional. You only need to wipe if it is really damn dusty. However, checks will be done and if we find that it is very dusty, then you will be in deepdeeptrouble.

As for the sweeping of floors, like the dustbin duty, it has to be done after school! If you do it in the morning, after school it will be dirty again, and when (whoever) does checks on our class cleanliness, our grade wouldn't be too impressive would it? Only under extreme circumstances do you not sweep the floor. But once again, you must tell us! Ok?

As a last note, if you have ongoing activities like STEP or whatever, let xiang yun and li lin know it advance so that your name would not be up in the duty roster. This does not mean that you can use any excuse, though. This only applies to people who will be absent for a long time!

IF YOU DO NOT DO YOUR DUTY N TIMES EVEN AFTER REPEATED REMINDERS, YOU WILL PAY $2 TO THE POWER OF N TO THE CLASS FUND.

I am not kidding. You can pay until you cry =D

I have already BEGGED Mr Keith Teo for an extension for us and he has kindly agreed. Although the skit is not compulsory, the only class who is not doing it so far is 2F. Even the sec1s are doing it! WE MUST DO THE SKIT!!!!!!!

So what if it's not compulsory?

Script will be typed out by me and major props done by me, Li Lin, Clarine and Yi Ling (thank and bless those three kind souls). Costumes will be CLASS TEE and UNIFORM only. National Day Inter-class Competition

National Day Celebrations: Inter-class Competition 2006

This activity aims to give the students a chance to work together, as well as to promote class spirit at the same time. Through this activity, we hope to let the pupils have a deeper understanding about our country's past and not take our present prosperity for granted.

Guidelines:

1.To present a theme using various ways such as plays/skits etc.
2. The performance must be at least 7-10mins long.
3. Visual aids and props can be used.

Judging Criteria:

1. Creativity [30%]: script+props
2. Informative [30%]
3. Acting performance [10%]
4. Entertainment level [10%]
5. Overall presentation [20%]

There are only THREE THEMES and I have already chosen the SARS theme for a play, and I'm sorry but I'm forced to disregard all of your opinions because this must be done by MONDAY and we have to act it out, which is like super super rushed. If you think that you don't like this idea then type out an email to me and include a script of yours that you think is better.

Rough Idea:

Theme: SARS
Characters: Taxi driver, Nurses, Doctors, Passer-bys, Family, Patients
Scenarios:
1. Passer-by cough in people's faces (4people)
2. Family eating dinner. Father is sick but still uses the
same utensils. (4people)
3. Taxi driver refuses to drive nurse to work as she works in
Tan Tock Seng (2people)
4. In hospital, doctors and nurses rush around to look after
patients, not giving a damn
about themselves (12people- 5doctors, 4nurses, 3patients)
5. SARS crisis over, doctors and nurses are commended for
their selflessness etc.
(12people-all the above)
6. Olivia's solo rap (Olivia?)

Right now I'm trying to do the script and I will send it to all of your emails by tomorrow 12noon. I will need volunteers to act out the script (don't need to memorise lines) and since you can look at the piece of paper it should be damn easy. I also need some people to rap the "Phua Chu Kang" Sars is a virus rap at the end, and the rest of the class will be backstage.

If you are thinking of giving up, then you are also giving up 2A. What will the teachers think of us? Won't Mrs Goh be very disappointed? And of course, I will also be very disappointed. No matter what, we MUST go along with this. If you choose to AP me then that's too bad because I won't tolerate your crap and as I said I will disregard all opinions and you will be FORCED to do this.

Give me some face and volunteer leh! I seriously don't want to drag you all the way to stage but not entire class will be needed though, and I don't wish to force you.

However, if there are no volunteers, then I shall take action. Think about it.
